100% Ibérico acorn-fed Cinco Jotas shoulder ham from Jabugo. Enjoy it as a whole piece, boneless or machine-sliced. Choose the weight and presentation that best suit your consumption.
IMPORTANT! GET THE SAME WEIGHT AS A WHOLE HAM FOR ALMOST HALF THE PRICE!
Choose the 6–7 kg weight range and compare the price with a 5 Jotas ham… The yield is very similar, and you’ll pay much less!
The quantity you receive depends on the format and how the weight is stated on the product page:
Yields and weight losses are estimates and vary depending on the piece, the proportion of bone and fat, and the cutting method. Where diced pieces and bones are included, they do not form part of the estimated sliced weight. Always check the format, weight and contents of your selected option.
Keep the piece in a cool, dry place protected from direct light. The ideal temperature is between 15 and 20 ºC.
Once you begin slicing, cover the exposed area with a thin layer of the ham's own fat and protect it with cling film or a clean cotton cloth.
It is recommended to consume the piece within approximately 30 to 45 days after beginning to cut it.
Keep the packs refrigerated between 2 and 8 ºC until ready to eat.
To best enjoy their aroma, flavour and texture, remove the pack from the fridge 20 to 30 minutes before serving.
Once opened, consume it preferably on the same day and avoid exposing it to heat, direct light or sudden temperature changes.
Store cured meats in a cool, dry and well ventilated place, away from moisture and direct sunlight.
If the product is vacuum-packed, keep it refrigerated and open it a few minutes before consuming so it can recover its full aroma.
After opening, wrap it in food-grade paper or keep it in an airtight container in the fridge.

Preparing a plate of shoulder Cinco Jotas is an invitation to enjoy and share. This 100% Ibérico Bellota shoulder ham from Jabugo brings the 5J experience to your table in three formats: whole piece, boneless or machine-sliced.
100% Ibérico identifies the breed of the pig, while the Bellota designation refers to its feeding during the Montanera. Cinco Jotas works with Iberian pigs raised free-range in the Dehesa and fed on acorns during this stage.
The shoulder comes from the front leg of the pig, while the ham comes from the hind leg. Its bone and fat proportions are different: the weight of a whole piece does not equal the amount of meat available to eat.
The selected weight corresponds to the whole shoulder before preparation. The approximate yield when boned is between 40 and 60%: a 5 kg piece provides around 2-3 kg of boneless product depending on the size of the bone, amount of fat and rind. There may be significant variations between pieces within the same range.
The yield from machine slicing is approximately 30–35%: a 5 kg piece provides around 1.5–1.75 kg of sliced product. These quantities are indicative and vary from piece to piece; they do not equal the combined weight of the sliced product, diced ham and bones.
100% Iberian pork shoulder, sea salt, antioxidant E-301 (sodium ascorbate), acidity regulator E-331 (iii) (trisodium citrate), preservative E-252 (potassium nitrate).

Enjoy it on its own, with bread or as the star of an Iberian charcuterie board. If it is refrigerated, allow the portion you are going to eat to lose its chill before serving, following the instructions on the packaging.
Store the whole piece in a cool, dry place away from sources of heat. For boneless or sliced formats, follow the storage conditions and the date on the label.
Check the preparation time for your chosen format before buying. Preparation and transport are separate stages, especially important if you need the shoulder for a specific date.
